I was overweight most of my adult life.
I tried so many diets, and I always had the same results: I lost weight, then I gained weight.
Losing weight wasn’t really hard, I am very disciplined, I think the hardest part for me was keeping the weight off.
Two times in my life I have been at my heaviest. Once after my pregnancy, and second after moving to Phoenix, AZ.
I lost my pregnancy weight by following the Atkins plan (it is a ketogenic diet), but it was exhausting having to track all my meals, plus I developed constipation, gout and joint inflammation.
I quit Atkins because I got overwhelmed weighing all my food, calculating the macros, following the structure, etc., and yes...I gained back all the pounds and more.
When I saw the pounds melting off while I was doing Atkins, I knew a ketogenic diet was the answer for me, but I didn't want to measure, calculate and track my food.
I developed the “Keto Flexible Program" (KF), I reached my goal weight and I haven't gained a pound back since.
But as you get thinner, you want to be also "healthy and fit", so I joined my local gym and began resistance and strength workouts, I learned that to build muscle and increase my strength the no macros (FK) approach wouldn't help me to reach my new goals.
I decided to become a Certified Fitness Nutrition and started my macro counting journey by following a flexible eating style.
Today I know each side of the coin... I know what macro counting, flexible eating, or just portion control can do for you and your personal goals. So either you are looking to lose weight, get fit or both, I am positive we can work together to find the perfect approach for your very individual needs.
I will be happy to help you to reach your goals. As a mommy I understand how busy our life becomes when we have children, husbands, jobs, etc. Who needs the extra burden of measuring and tracking food? I did it for so long, I know the hassle.
Now that I am leaner, I actually enjoy being active. I enrolled myself at the gym, I do spinning, I lift weights and I am loving it. I have been reading about kinetics, biomechanics, nutrition, fitness and women’s physiology. Womens bodies are incredible but as we age our needs change. I am 46 years young and I never felt as fantastic as today.
